Sandy asks…
Girls- Back to School wardrobe (shoes, shirt, pants, hair)?
I am a skinny guy with strong arms, darkish brown (tan) skin and black hair eyebrows are bushy (profile avatar and name just for laughs) and want to look sexy for college, not fancy, not too cowboy, non “stereotypical”. I don’t care for name brands, only Dickies, as long as it isn’t a gangster or skater look.
What kind of pants (Black Dickies, White Dickies, Light or dark blue jeans)
What kind of T shirt (white, black)
If I was to wear a button dress shirt (dickies) over the t-shirt instead of the t-shirt alone, my bud says it makes me look beefy when tucked in
What about shoes? (black, white, steel toe work boots)
Hair (short, longish and messyish, I have wavy hair, or fade)
Sideburns (long, short, medium)
–I am 6′ and weigh 160 Lbs, lean, prefer clean face (shave)

rob answers:
Pants: dark blue jeans.
Shirt: white.
Shoes: work boots.
Hair: long and messy
sideburns: short

rob answers:
I’m not a girl in school so I don’t know if these things are done, but what I would do is just sidle up to a girl who wears these shoes and say ‘Hey, those are some really cool shoes! What are they called? Where do you get ‘em?’

Donna asks…
Where do you get “potatoe shoes”?
I see a lot of girls at school wearing these brown clog-like shoes and I was just wondering where you get them.

rob answers:
They aren’t “potatoe” shoe they are called birkenstocks, they range from 79.99 (for sandals) to 140.00 (clogs) they are basically all I wear, most people at my school wear them, you can get them cheaper though during their sale in june.
EDIT- Don’t get the fakes they mess up really easy, and can mess up how you walk. Birkenstock last a really long time, my old babysitter had a pair that she wore every day for 18 years, and now they are 23 years old and still in perfect condition.

Robert asks…
I have the strictest school uniform code. How can I personalize my uniform? *going into middle school*
How can I customize this uniform without getting in trouble?
This is the school uniform list:
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
We believe that the dress code is an important component in promoting and teaching many characteristics that we feel are essential such as responsibility, accountability, attention to detail, and the importance of a neat and well-groomed appearance. There are guidelines that govern dress and grooming to ensure a relatively consistent appearance. Our uniform also serves as a reminder that each of our students is a part of something special and unique, something that is greater than they are. Thus there are guidelines that govern dress and grooming to ensure a consistency of appearance. (I hate our principal for this. Ha)
DRESS CODE
1.All attire must be neat, clean, and appropriately sized. (Neat? Clean?)
2. Clothing Identification: To facilitate the return of lost clothing, all items should be clearly labeled with nametags or indelible ink. (On everything? Even pants? Who is going to steal my pants?! Stealing pants is SO un-American.
3. Uniform clothing is required for all grades, K4 – 12th, and must be purchased from certain stores: (I’m not going to list them) AND meet the uniform requirements detailed at the bottom of this section.

>>>>> ANY ITEM NOT LISTED IS UNACCEPTABLE. <<<<<
Additional Guidelines and Restrictions
1. Hair is to be maintained so that it is not extreme. No shaved heads or inappropriate hair colors are allowed. (No pink?)

THE FOLLOWING ARE PROHIBITED:
- Earrings on boys (emo kids are retaliating)
- Hats or sun glasses inside the buildings (Crap, no Dr. Seuss hat!)

- Chains on Billfolds (*grumble*)
- Tattoos (OMG! What not? What are they going to scan you or something?)
- Black fingernail polish (Ha, I wear it to school sometimes. They never notice when you keep your hands in your pocket!)
- Any clothing or accessory that the administration deems unsuitable
Penalties for Dress Code Violations
Teachers are to send students to the Counselors Office if clothes are in question. Any student not dressed within the policy code will have his or her parents contacted. Repeated violations of dress code policy may result in the following:
1. The parent may bring the student appropriate clothing (the student will remain unexcused out of class until the appropriate attire is brought to the school). *so un-cool*
2. The student may purchase acceptable clothing in the school store if it is available (parents will be billed for the purchase).
3. The student will serve in-school suspension. Continued violations of school dress code policy may result in suspension or expulsion. *WTF?!*
This sucks. I NEED REAL CLOTHES! In addition, I thought this school supported freedom to Americans and non conformity? I guess not…
I agree Abby <3, that isn't right! Emo kids are mad because they don't have their earrings where they want, and can't wear nail polish.
But I think our school just trys to make us look representable, because we get vistors…alot. Haha.

rob answers:
GEEZ!! It’s like they are trying to make you be what they want you to be. That isn’t right!
Anyways, try wearing cute nail polish, cute earrings, and shoes. And maybe a necklace and rings. And a scarf, if they allow that.
