I know traditionally, you never ever match brown and black. But lately, I’ve been seeing people do it, and sometimes pull it off decently. What do you think of this black dress + brown shoe combination (along with necklace/purse to match the shoes)? Is brown + black still a huge no-no, or is it ok now?

If you have a bag or scarf that has both brown and black in it you could make it work. You could also add a pin that has both brown and black. NEVER SAY NEVER!!! You can make it work…it just takes a little more work!! Work it!!!
NO! Match black with BLACK. black and brown are two colros that are very close to each other which means it won’t look good. Blue and green don’t look good,why do brown and black?

u can do it, as long as u have more brown than black….
stay with the black adress and the brown shoes, add the same color brown belt to the dress( under the boob area) or slanted on the waist. and also have the same brown purse or bag….and i think youll be good, just add some gold jewelry and youll do fine!!!
